A series of activities with a Yunnan tourism theme is staged during the 2016 China-South Asia Expo. Compared with past sessions, one of the highlights of this year’s China-South Asia Expo is the tourism industry pa-vilion.
The tourism industry pavil-ion consists of eight functional exhibition areas. Among them, the prelude exhibition section covers 360 square meters mainly dedicated to Yunnan province’s outstanding achievements in building itself into a strong tour-ism province in recent years, as well as Yunnan’s tourism exchanges and cooperation with South and Southeast Asian countries. The Yunnan tourism image exhibition section covers 576 square meters, and is mainly devoted to tourism products, travel routes and images of the province’s prefectures and cities. The international tourism image exhibition section also covers 576 square meters, where the Maldives, Thailand, Bhutan, Nepal, Laos, Malaysia, Kenya and Ghana exhibit their tourist attractions. The general tourism exhibition section is used by Rose Town, Wanda Group and other exhibitors, with the aim of comprehensively showcasing the development of general tour-ism in Yunnan province. Also, the tourism industry pavilion includes aviation and recreation-al vehicle camping exhibition areas, a tourism enterprise ex-hibition area, a smart tourism exhibition area and a tourism commodity exhibition area.
