RAKUB vows to reach services to farmers doorsteps

Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) is pledged bound to reach its banking services at the doorsteps of farmers for elevating their living and livelihood condition, reports BSS. Besides, the bank has been working relentlessly for bringing all the existing agricultural potential sectors and sub-sectors under qualitative and quantitative investments for making the regions agro-based economy more vibrant. Board of directors of the bank made these observations at RAKUBs 442nd board meeting held in its board room here on Monday afternoon with Chairman Prof Dr Shah Nawaz Ali in the chair, RAKUB sources said yesterday.
RAKUB, headquartered in Rajshahi, has been operating its banking activities as the largest development partner in all the 16 northwest districts of Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions targeting its agricultural sector and all its sub-sectors.
The meeting noted that the banks administrative and operational activities must be more transparent and accountable alongside farmers-friendly for boosting agricultural production. The meeting called for increasing the need-based credit flow for the sake of sustainable livelihood development of the farmers and for bolstering the agro-based economy. The meeting discussed elaborately on how to make the banks operational and commercial activities more dynamic through strengthening the credit support for both farm and non-farm prospective fields. Managing Director Md Awal Khan and directors Saifuddin Ahmed, Abdul Hannan, Kazi Hassan Ahmed, Fazlur Rahman, Dr Swapan Kumar Paul, Muniruzzaman, Prof Dr Rustom Ali Ahmed and Shah Alam were present at the meeting.
