GAIBANDHA: People of the district are now enjoying e-facilities to get land parcha or khatians from the record room of deputy commissioner (DC) office here through digitized system introduced in October, 2015, reports BSS.
Office sources said the present government took an initiative to reach the e-services at the doorsteps of the people so that they could get their desired services from the service providers in short time, low cost and few visit.
Accordingly, the district administration led by DC Abdus Samad introduced the digitised system on October 10, 2015 in case of providing land parcha or khatians to the people from the record room of the DC office.
At present, the people of all the seven upazilas of the district are now enjoying e-facilities and getting their desired services from the record room of the DC office in an easy way and without visiting the office.
Assistant commissioner Raonak Jahan, who is performing her duty at the record room of the DC office as officer in charge, said at first, the person would go to the nearby or anywhere union digital centre (UDC) of the district.
Then, the applicant would pay Tk 70 as fees and fill- up the specific form in presence of the entrepreneur of the UDC in a bid to get desired parcha or khatians from the record room of the DC office, she also said. Then, the respective UDC would send the e-mail to the DC office without delay for the parcha or khatians of the applicant, she added.
After getting the e-mail from the UDC, the officials and the staff of the record room of the DC office would go to action and prepare the parcha or the khatians for the applicant, said ADC (ICT) M. Shamsul Azam.
After completing all formalities in short time, the khatians would be posted to the address of the applicant and in this way, the people here have been getting their land related documents from the DC office since October, 2015, he also said.
M. Mahmuduzzaman who lives at Shukhnagar area of Sadar upazila said he got his land parcha from the DC office through post office within very short time.
I reply to a query, Mahmuduzzaman said he did not need to visit the DC office for the document but he went to Ballamjhar UDC for filling up the form against the parcha.
Talking to the news agency, DC M. Abdus Samad said as the country was marching towards digitized system, they had taken the initiative for the people following the TCV (short time, low cost and few visit) method.
Till May 31, 2016 a total of 12,630 khatians had been sent to the people of the district through digitized system from the record room of his office, he added.
