The US embassy in the capital will host its second “Road to the White House” Facebook chat today about the US presidential election and voter registration, reports UNB. Starting on May 10 and running through the presidential inauguration in January 2017, the Embassy is hosting a US expert each month who will conduct a one-hour Facebook chat on a specific election-related topic.
The latest election chat on voter registration will begin at 8pm, and the chat will feature Adrienne Lever, the Director of Partnerships for Change Politics at Change.org. Change.org is the world’s largest and fastest growing platform for civic action with over 100 million users globally.
Prior to joining Change.org, she was the senior director of strategic partnerships at Democracy Works, where Ms Lever coordinated voter registration efforts at over 200 US colleges and universities through the Turbo Vote program.
She began her career working on political campaigns and served as regional director for two years on the first campaign to elect Barack Obama.
Interested people can include their questions in the comments section of the Road to the White House post that will be added to the Embassy’s Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/bangladesh.usembassy/.
