Shafqat powers Abahani to a massive win

Abahani Limited’s Pakistani forward  Shafqat Rasool powered the title aspirants to a massive 8-2 win over Sadharan Bima in their Green Delta Premier Division Hockey League math at Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium yesterday.
Abahani produced half a dozen goals before the short whistle and later in the second half both teams slammed home two goals each.
Shafqat broke the deadlock early in the 10th minute when he beat Bima keeper with a field goal.  Shakil Abbasi brought the next two goals in a row in a span of one minute before Mohammad Ifran further increased the lead n the 17th minute converting a penalty corner.
Shafqat again back in business when slotted the fifth goal in 21st minute and then Shakil Abbasi again got his scoring touch in 33rd minute.
Sadharan Bima all on a sudden snatched the domination and returned a couple of goals through  Farhan Ali and Faisal Hossain midway in the second half.
Then it was against Shafqat’s turn to show his marksmanship netting the last two goals in a row in 62nd and 64th minute respectively.
Azad Sporting Club and Ajax Sports Club shared points in a ten goal thriller in the other match. Parimol Maradi brought three goals for Azad, while Debasis Kumar Roy netted the rest two goals. Rahat Sarwar produced three goals for Ajax, while Abdur Rahman and Imtiaz Ahmed made one each for Ajax.
