The broader index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) continued to maintain falling trend for the second consecutive day of the week yesterday as the day finished 4 points down at 4405.40 which was 9.58 points down at 4409.40 on Sunday, reports BSS.
The blue-chip DS30 also saw downtrend to close at 1736.52. But the Shariah DSES slightly gained 1.71 point to finish the day 1885.19.
Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also closed the second day of the week down, with its major CSCX index closing about 16.19 points down at 8246.86.
The daily turnover in volume at DSE is about 8.75 crore shares when the daily trade value is about Tk 363.79 crore.
Among the traded 316 issues at DSE, 146 closed lower against 108 gaining issues. At CSE, 116 issues lost when 89 finished the day higher.
The top five gaining companies in
DSE were IBNSINA, KBPPWBIL, ORIONINFU, IFIC 1st Mutual Fund and United Insurance. The major losers included PURABIGEN, IFIC, ZealBangla, Citybank and SAVAREFR. ACMELAB topped the turnover list followed by BSRM Limited, LAFSURCEML, SQURPHARMA, ORIONINFU and SPCL.
