BoI gets $12.72b investment proposal in 2014-15

The Board of Investment (BoI) got proposals for local and foreign investment of Taka 993.35 billion (equivalent to $12.72 billion) in the last fiscal year (2014-15), 45.46 rercent up from the previous fiscal (2013-14), reports BSS.
Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury, who is also in charge of the Prime Minister’s Office in the Jatiya Sangsad, said this in reply to a written query from treasury bench member Didarul Alam (Chittagong-4) in the House today.  
She said proposals for local, joint and 100 per cent foreign investment of Tk 993.35 billion were registered with the BoI in the last fiscal year, Tk 310.44 billion more than the previous fiscal.
The minister informed the House that the BoI got proposals for local, joint and 100 per cent investment of Tk 682.91 billion in the 2013-14 fiscal.
