Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu yesterday said the government does not need help from any foreign country to ensure security of minority community people in the country as it is capable enough to protect them, reports UNB.
The Minister came up with the remark while replying to a question at a press briefing on the country’s present law and order situation at PID conference yesterday.
“Operation is going on to stop secret killings. Attacks are being carried out on minority people to embarrass the government.
But it will not disturb communal harmony”, he said. Terming Khaleda Zia as guard of terrorists and militants, Inu said BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is involved in the secret killings as it’s her new strategy after being defeated in fire terrorism.
“Our government is determined to resist all conspiracies against the country,” he added.
“The government is working on the basis of information and evidence. We have proof against Khaleda Zia. We are not playing blame game. Khaleda Zia is playing blame game to conceal his conspiracy”, said Inu.
He said the government is carrying out drives across the country to stop secret killings not against the opposition men. Police already arrested 5, 324 people in the last two days and among them, 85 have been identified as militants, he added.
