Two arms traders held in C’nawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 arrested two alleged arms traders with two foreign made pistols, 12 rounds of bullet and four magazines from Mobarakpur Bagbari village under Shibganj upazila of the district yesterday morning, reports BSS.
The arrested persons were identified as Md. Nasim Reza, 21, son of Md. Harunur Rashid of Omarpur village and Md. Nazim Hasan, 22, son of Md. Ataur Rahman of Ajmatpur village under Shibganj upazila of the district.
On receipt of information, an operation team of RAB raided a mango orchard at Mobarakpur Bagbari area under Shibganj upazila at about 9.35 am and arrested them with the arms and ammunition.
During the interrogation, the arrested persons admitted their involvement in illegal arms trading, the sources added.
