Man kills wife in Khulna

KHULNA: A housewife was killed allgedly by her husband on Saturday evening in Mowlar Bari crossing area of South Tutpara in the city, reports BSS.
Deceased Ayesha Siddiqi Tuktuki, 15, is a student of class ten of South Tutpara Secondary School in the city.
Tuktuki, daughter of Munna Siddiqi of South Tutpara area of Khulna got married to her cousin Nurunnabi Bhuiyan, son of Panna Bhuiyan, hailed from Gopalganj district two years back, locals and police said.
Nurunnabi, who went to Saudi Arabia after few days of marriage, returned to his father-in-laws house on June 8 last, said officer-in-charge (OC) of Khulna Police Station Shafiqur Rahman, quoting father of the victim.
On the fateful evening, Nurunnabi took her wife at the rooftop of two storied building and hit on her head with a brick over an extra marital relationship allegation, the OC said adding that Nurrunnabi informed the matter to his father-in-law just after committing the heinous crime.
Tuktuki was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared her dead.
Police arrested Nurunnabi last night. A case was filed with Khulna Kotwali Police Station in this connection.
