2 youths held with firearms

Two youths were arrested along with firearms from Joydebpur Chowrasta in Gazipur city early yesterday.
The arrestees were Jahangir Alam, 25, and Mohammed Farid Hossain,19, both are hailing from Berpara village under Chatmohor upazila in Pabna district
Superintendent of Gazipur police Mohammed Harun-Or-Rashid at a press conference held at SP’s office yesterday morning said police arrested them from Joydebpur Chowrasta around 2am on Sunday and recovered a pistol, three rounds of bullets and a knife from their possessions.
SP Harun said a total 241 men were arrested from different places of the district in the last three days in special drives. Among them 86 were arrested on Sunday.
