Jamaat leader arrested in Magura

Police arrested Zila ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and his associate from Shatrujitpur area in Sadar upazila yesterday noon, reports BSS from Magura. The arrested are Alamgir Biswas, ameer of Magura Zila unit of Jamaat and his associate Suaeb. On a tip-off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested the duo from a mango garden, said AKM Ehsan Ullah, Magura superintendent of police. More than six cases were pending against him for different subversive and militant activities.
