20 villages submerged by high tides in Bhola

At least 20 villages under Monpura and Charfashion upazilas of the district have been flooded due to high tide during the last three days. The water of high tides entered the villages of Rajapur and Ilisha union of Bhola sadar, Hajipur Char and Saidpur village of Daulatkhan, Lord Harding union of Lalmohon, Shakuchia union of Monpura and Char Kukrimukri union of Charfassion upazila.  
Due to the high tidal surge, aus crops in Majher Char, Madanpur Char, Char Johir Uddin and Kolatolir Char have been submerged for days. Farmlands and homestead, betel and banana orchards have been  flooded.
