Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam yesterday said the recent killings have been carried out to create a sense of panic in public mind, reports BSS. “The aim of the killers will not be fulfilled as Bangalee is a brave nation. They will not feel fear in some killing incidents,” he told the concluding ceremony of a foundation training course at Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) at Savar. Ashraf said, “Our law enforcement agencies have remained alert to stop such killings. They (law enforcers) are intensifying their efforts to arrest those who are responsible for the heinous incidents.”
He said the government is sincerely working to complete unfinished works for translating the Vision-2021 into reality. Referring to the important role of Bangladesh Civil Service in building “Digital Bangladesh,” Ashraf said a pro-people civil service is a prerequisite to ensuring good governance, which ultimately will foster economic development in the country. Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Administration Ministry HN Ashikur Rahman, Rector of BPATC ALM Abdur Rahman, officials and trainees, among others, were present at the function with Senior Secretary of Public Administration Ministry Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury in the chair.
