Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim yesterday said the government is working to build a nutrition-rich Bangladesh, reports BSS. “No development activities can be successful unless the standard of people’s nutrition is improved,” he said while speaking as chief guest at a meeting on improving ongoing programmes in health, population and nutrition sectors in light of Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey 2014. Held at the health ministry meeting room, the meeting was presided over by the ministry’s additional secretary Biman Kumar Saha. The health minister said the government has taken various programmes to expedite its success in improving maternal and child health.
