JESSORE: State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Junaid Ahmed Palak yesterday said the meritorious new generation is playing a pioneering role in building a digital Bangladesh, reports BSS. “Earlier, the brilliant students used to go abroad for want of employment there. Now arrangements have been made for their employment at home,” he said at ‘Meet the Press’ at the conference room of Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park here. The state minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s ‘Vision 2021’ is now a reality. The government is working relentlessly to implement this vision, he added. Palak said Bangladesh is progressing fast in information technology sector, using its young generation. He said the Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park in Jessore is no more a dream - it is a reality now. This park will be completed soon and it will create job opportunities for 16,000 youths, he added. ICT Secretary Shyam Sundar Shikder, Jessore Science and Technology University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abdus Salam, Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park Managing Director Hosne Ara Begum and Jessore Press Club President Zahid Hassan Tukun were present at the function, among others. Earlier, the state minister allocated spaces for 12 institutions in Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park.
He also distributed skill development training course certificates among the participants.
