Fire guts properties in Rangpur

RANGPUR:  A fire gutted furniture and other properties at Ward No-3 of the Department of Medicine in Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) yesterday, reports BSS. “The fire erupted at 9:45 am following a short circuit in the air cooler at the office room of Professor Dr Debendra Nath of the Department of Medicine,” said Deputy Director of Rangpur Fire Service and Civil Defense Station Asaduzzaman Asad. Three units of fire fighters from Rangpur immediately rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control in association with the RMCH authorities within an hour. None was injured in the fire incident that followed immediate evacuation of the patients and their relatives.
