Bangladeshi man jailed in Malaysia over trafficking

A Bangladeshi national was jailed for 10 years after pleading guilty to three counts of trafficking his countrymen in Wang Kelian, Perlis border town on the Malaysia-Thailand border last year, reported Malaysian daily The Star yesterday. Nurul Islam, 32, admitted to trafficking in Mohamad Nurbasya between October 2014 and May 3 last year, the Malaysian media outlet reports from Malaysian town Kangar. For the second count, he was charged with trafficking in a person by the name of Delwar between October 2014 and April last year.
