Mohammedan Sporting Club riding on a brilliant marksmanship by Rasel Mahmud Jimmy overwhelmed Bangladesh Railway by 19-0 in a Premier Division Hockey League match Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium yesterday.
In fact, MSC broke the previous record of 14-0 made by Abahani Limited against the same team this season. Jimmy alone netted eleven goals including a hat-trick. His Pakistani teammate Tasvar Abbas produced half a dozen goals, while Md Lalon and Rubel Hossain added on each for MSC.
Rasel Mahmud Jimmy, who was proud son of former national team forward Abdur Razzak, after a long time showed his scoring touch. He really satisfied with the Black and Whit fans with his wonderful stick work and scored as many as 11 goals. Unfortunately he missed a double hattrick and could have scored more goals.
The day’s other match between Bangladesh Sports and Azad Sporting Club ended in 3-3 draw.
