Woman’s body found in Ctg
Police recovered an unidentified body of a woman from a garbage dumping depot at Anandabazar area under Chittagong city’s Bandar Thana on Wednesday afternoon.
On information from the garbage collectors of City Corporation, Bandar police recovered the decomposed body aged around 30 from the garbage depot at around 1.30pm, said AKM Mohiuddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bandar Thana. “The woman might have been killed four to five days ago and the body separated in five parts was dumped in the garbage depot”, the OC said adding that the body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Rickshawpuller killed in road mishap
A rickshawpuller was killed and two other injured when a microbus hit them on the approach road of the city’s Kazirbazar Bridge on Wednesday evening.
The identity of deceased rickshawpuller could not be known. Shohel Ahmed, officer in charge of Kotwali police station, said the accident took place when the microbus pushed them on the back in the area, leaving them critically injured on the road.
Sylhet board announces fresh results
The Sylhet Education Board announced the SSC result afresh on Wednesday after the reevaluation of answer scripts of the students. After applied for reevaluation of the examination papers, 151 students got their result afresh. Of them, 26 examinees have got A+ from A grade. And 21 students succeed from the fail list.
