9 held over question paper leak

The Detective Branch (DB) of Police has arrested 9 persons from the capital for their alleged involvement with fake question paper leakage, said a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) release in the capital yesterday, reports BSS.
A DB police team led by Assistant Police Commissioner Mahmud Naser Jony conducted the drive at the main gate of the Department of Land Record and Survey at the capital’s Satrasta crossing under Tejgaon Industrial area on Wednesday and arrested them. The arrestees were identified as M Safiful Islam alias Jewel, M Rubel Bepari, M Abdus Sattar, M Mejbah Ahmed, M Kawsar Hossain, M Al-Amin, M Iqram Hossain, M Hridoy Hosain and M Jahangir.
The police has also seized the fake question papers of Chemistry (2nd paper), Accounting (1st paper ), Physics (creative), Biology (2nd paper) of the HSC examination of 2016. Ten mobile sets of different models were also recovered from them. According to the primary interrogation, the DMP release said that a fake question paper leakage group led by M Saiful Islam alias Jewel were involved with earning money illegally for a long time through online posting of the fake question papers to the students.
They were involved with taking heavy amount from the students of different school and colleges in the country. The fake question papers were distributed through different facebook ID, Imo, What’s app. The police are also trying to arrest the fugitives who were involved with this crime.
