BFF looks for a fresh coach

Kruif ends one month stint

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is thinking to appoint a coaching staff for a long time in their desperate bid o return to Asian Cup qualifying race ahead to playoffs against Bhutan.       
Bangladesh, after their embarrassing elimination from the World Cup qualifying round (there was also a criteria to move directly into the Asian Cup Qualifying stage) and the playoffs against Tajikistan, have the last opportunity to move into the Asian Cup qualifying phase with winning playoffs against Bhutan.
Bangladesh after suffering defeat to Tajikistan, now left the last chance, which can open the door for them to move into the Asian Cup Qualifying round when they will play Bhutan on September 6 at home and on October 11 in Thimphu.  
To overcome the last hurdle, BFF is now very ardent to appoint a coaching staff for successfully overcome the Bhutan obstacle, as the vice-president and also the member of the National Team Committee Tabith Awal informed the reporters yesterday.
Bangladesh finished their playoffs yesterday with a 1-0 at home ground and suffered a 5-0 to Tajikistan under the head coach Lodewjik De Kruif.
De Kruif, who was appointed on emergency basis only for the assignment of Tajikistan playoffs, ended his one month agreement yesterday and he had also a courtesy visit with BFF president Kazi Mohammed Salahuddin and the vice-president Tabith Awal.
Tabith Awal, when talking to the reporters said, “We are thinking to appoint a coaching staff for the Bhutan playoffs.”
“In fact we are looking for some new coaches and also talking with Kruif but he has engagement with a local team in Netherlands. If the newly appointed coach would success in the Bhutan test then he would get appointment for long term, as we are thinking.”
“You know, we must have to overcome the playoffs against Bhutan otherwise we will face a huge humiliation as we will not have any international match in the next two years, the matches against Bhutan are very much important for us.”
Tabith while also told that BFF president said, “Who ever else, we need a coach for the matches against Bhutan, these are do die match for us, so we would appoint coach by July.”
