Mobile court finds date-expired items, adulterated oil, unauthorised chemicals

A mobile court of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) yesterday realised Taka one lakh each from three branches of popular eateries KFC, Pizza Hut, Boomers in fines at Baily Road, reports BSS.
The mobile court headed by executive magistrate Md Moshiur Rahman fined KFC on charges of selling date expired goods and using adulterated oil in different food items while Pizza Hutt was fined for using two chemicals, bolognaise sauce seasoning and extreme seasoning, which have no BSTI approval and license, an official release said.
It also fined Boomers on charges of keeping rotten meat and adulterated food items in refrigerator, it also said.
The eateries gave the fine soon after the court order.
DMP has vowed to continue the drive during the holy month of Ramadan.
