3 held with adulterated foods

Police in a drive in the city’s Bayezid Bostami area seized 20,000 cartons of Tangs and huge amount of adulterated foods including juice and vermicelli yesterday.A team of Bayezid police conducted the drive at the five warehouses of Sajeeb Corporation at around 2pm. The arrestees were identified as warehouse in-charge Mohammad Mohiuddin, stock manager Shafiullah and storekeeper Mahabubur Rahman. For a long time the staffs of the business firm were selling Tangs and many foods including juice and vermicelli which were returned from markets for expiring its date.  Acting on tip-off we have conducted drive in the warehouse of the Sajeeb Corporation and arrested the warehouse in-charge, stock manager and store keeper of the business firm,” said Prodip Kumar Das, Officer-in-Charge (OC), Bayezid police station.
