3 held with firearm

SYLHET:  A joint team of police and the local administration in a drive arrested three persons along with firearm from a telecom shop in Gobindaganj area of Chhatak upazila on Saturday night. The arrestees were identified as Amir Ali, 55, owner of the shop, Nur Uddin, 25, and Selim Ahammad, 27. The team, led by executive magistrate Masum Billah, conducted the drive in the area around 8pm and arrested them from ‘Eti Telecom Shop”. Later, the law enforcers recovered five machetes, 10 iron pipes, a short gun and 14 wooden sticks from the shop and the shop was locked by the law enforcers.
