BTMA for reducing tax at source

STAFF REPORTER

In the proposed budget for financial year 2016-17,  tax at source on export have been increased from 0.5 per cent to 1.5 per cent which in turn can create a lot of hindrances for the clothing and textile sector thinks Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), says a press release.
They have already voiced their concern about the rise in the price of gas from last September.
The rise in the price of gas in turn creates a lot of problems for the production of yearn and fabrics.
The price becomes high which creates problem for the products to be sold internationally at a competitive price. They also added that during the last few years the clothing sector have been going through lots of ups and downs and increasing the tax at source on export will create more problems for this sector.
