Students urged to follow great men’s ideals

JAMALPUR: State Minister for Textile and Jute Mirza Azam said people of the country are now leading a better life due to economic development, reports BSS.
He said wages of laborers have increased to a great extent and that is why they are now able to send their children to schools for education.
He said the government is also extending support to different programmes including distribution of new text books free of cost among the students from first January to facilitate their education.
The state minister said this while distributing crests among 104 meritorious students who got GPA-5 in last SSC examination from Hashil School and College, a private educational institution of the district.
The state minister said “We achieved Bangladesh under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”
He urged the students to know the life of the great leader and build them up with the spirit of Independence.
Engineer Mohammad Nurul Islam, Founder of Hashil School and College presided over the function.
Faridul Haque Khan Dulal MP, Superintendent of Police Nizamuddin, President of district Awami League Mohammad Baki Billah, secretary Faruk Ahmed Chowdhury, Civil Surgeon Moshaerul Islam, Mayor of Jamalpur Municipality Mirza Shakhawatul Alam Moni spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, the chief guest inaugurated Shaheed Minar on the Hashil School and College premises.
