Minor girl drowned

A minor girl drowned in a pond at Gaiarchar village under Raipur upazila of the district on Friday, reports BSS from Laxmipur.
The deceased was identified as Nusrat Jahan Nuha, 2, daughter of Abdul Mannan of the village. Local sources said Nuha fell into the pond water while she was playing in the yard of her parent’s house.
Confirming the incident, on-duty doctor of Raipur Upazila Health Complex said locals rescued Nuha from the pond water and took her to the hospital but she died on way to the hospital.
