Minister urges teachers for 
improving education system

RANGPUR: Minister for Primary and Mass Education Mostafizur Rahman has called upon the teachers to take the responsibility for improvement of the country’s education system.
“The present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken various realistic approaches and extended necessary cooperation to the teachers who should turn today’s learners as tomorrows worthy citizens by ensuring quality education,” he said.
The minister was addressing a views-sharing meeting styled “Improving Quality of Primary Education” organised by district primary education office at Town Hall auditorium in the city on Friday as the chief guest.
With District Primary Education Officer Khalilur Rahman in the chair, officials involved with primary education, headmasters of primary schools, teachers, members of school managing committees, guardians and civil society members attended the meeting.
The minister said the present government has been providing 44 different types of training to the teachers for enhancing their teaching skills, techniques and capabilities for providing quality teaching to make all students understood lessons in classrooms.
“Every teacher should teach their students with utmost sincerity and dedication utilising modern teaching skills and techniques in the classrooms understanding that every student is like their own child,” he said.
The minister stressed on bringing a positive change in the education sector and called for including teachers and guardians for proper implementation of the primary education management system through inspiring everybody in the society.
He called upon the primary school teachers for ensuring quality education in building a middle income Bangladesh and carrying forward the noble movement towards making the new generation honest, efficient and properly educated.
Additional Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education Dr Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal addressed as special guest.
