3 children of a family drown

Tangail: Three minor girls of a family drowned in a pond at Bilachapra village under Bhuapur upazila of the district on Thursday, reports BSS.
The victims were identified as Moriyum,4, daughter of Rafiqul Islam Sadia, 4, and Afia, 3, daughters of Motaleb Hossain, younger brother of Rafiqul Islam.
Locals and family sources said, the trio fell into the pond near their house while they are playing on its bank and drowned at around 5 pm yesterday.
Locals and relatives retrieved their bodies from the pond.Dr. Zahiduzzaman Jewel, resident medical officer of Bhuapur Upazila Health Complex, confirmed the incident.
