BNP chairman candidate shot in Gaibandha

Gaibandha: A BNP-backed chairman candidate of Erendabari union was shot and injured by a group of miscreants at Dakatier Char in Fulchhari upazila early yesterday, reports UNB.
Khairul Basahr, officer-in-charge of Fulchhari Police Station, said a group of miscreants stormed the house of BNP-backed chairman candidate Azizur Rahman and opened a shot at him through the window while he was sleeping around 3 am, leaving him injured in a leg.Hearing screams, local people rushed in and caught four of them and handed them over to BGB.
The injured BNP candidate was rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
