Chittagong: A foam factory caught fire in Halishahar area of the city yesterday afternoon, reports UNB. Mohammad Yeahia, additional director of Chittagong Fire Service, said the fire broke out at the factory around 5:45pm. On information, seven firefighting units rushed in and doused the flame after an hour of frantic efforts. However, the reason behind the fire could not be known immediately. Factory owner claimed the extent of loss caused by the fire would exceed Tk 40 lakh.
