Syed Fahim Munaim, chief executive officer (CEO) and chief editor of Maasranga Television, was laid to eternal rest at Banani graveyard in the city after Jumma prayers yesterday, reports BSS. He was buried at the Banani graveyard after his third namaz-e-janaza held at Gulshan Azad Mosque after Jumma prayers. Munaim, former press secretary to the last caretaker government’s chief adviser, died of cardiac arrest at his Gulshan residence on Wednesday. He left behind wife, three sons and a host of admirers and friends to mourn his death. First namaz-e-janaza of Fahim Munaim was held on premises of Jatiya Press Club at 10.30 am this morning. Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, Prime Minister’s Media Adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University AAMS Arefin Siddique, former chief information commissioner Mohammad Zamir, Chairman of Maasranga Television Anjan Chowdhury, President of Jatiya Press Club Shafiqur Rahman and its general secretary Quamrul Islam Chowhdury, among others, attended the namaz-e-janaza.
