50 BADC workers fall sick inhaling toxic gas

Pabna: Fifty workers of Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation (BADC) fell sick after inhaling toxic gas while processing paddy seeds in a farm at Tebunia in Sadar upazila yesterday, reports UNB. Sources said the workers of Tebunia Agricultural Farm under BADC fell sick one after another while they were processing paddy seeds in the morning. Later, 13 workers were admitted to Pabna General Hospital while the others to different clinics.
Mahibur Rahman, deputy director of seeds processing centre, said there is nothing to be worried and the workers are getting treatment.
