Students of Medical Assistant Training School (MATS) submitted a memorandum to President Abdul Hamid to press home their 5-point demands.
MATS member secretary Murad Hossain confirmed this to The Independent.
Assistant commissioner’s office at Bangabhaban took the memorandum around 2pm yesterday, Murad Hossain said.
The students have been observing sit-in-programme for 15 consecutive days in front of the National Press Club. Murad Hossain said, “We would continue our protest until our demands are met.” Bangladesh Diploma Medical Association (BDMA) expressed solidarity with MATS demonstrations.
