Mashrafe Bin Mortaza led Kalabagan Krira Chakra yet another stunned high-ranked team by showing his scintillation in the ninth round clash of the Dhaka Premier League at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium yesterday.
This time Mashrafe victimised Legends of Rupganj with his magic gem of pace routing them by 10 runs as per D/L method. The pacer earlier single-handedly trounced Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club with his fiery century.
Mashrafe Bin Mortaza ripped through the middle and lower-order batting line-up of Legends of Rupganj to show his best figure in List-A match. He took six wickets in international stratum against Kenya.
By taking six wickets, he extended his wicket tally to 19 and turned out to be the second highest wicket-taker after Chaturanga de Silva, who bagged 21 wickets in eight outings.
Sajjaadul Haque made the highest 48 for Legends. Asif Ahmed (40) and Mohammad Mithun (31) were the other notable scorers.
Elsewhere at BKSP Ground-3, Gazi Group Cricketers thrashed Brothers Union by 43 runs in the low-scoring affair.
Gazi Cricketers managed to score 167 in 35.2 overs with Anamul Haque making 46. Shamsur Rahman (28) and Mohammad Sharif (26) were the other scorers for Gazi.
Tushar Imran hauled four wickets, while Iftekhar Sajjad took three wickets for Brothers.
In its pursuits, Brothers Union were skittled out for 124 in 40.1 overs in the face of spin bowling attack. Medehi Hasan scalped four wickets for 16. Gurkeerat Singh and Alok Kapali took two wickets apiece. Skipper Tushar Imran top-scored for Gazi with 41 off 81, hitting the identical number of two fours and sixes.
