‘Sunsilk Fashion Fiesta’ held in grand manner

The ‘Sunsilk Fashion Fiesta’ was held in a glamorous manner at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital’s Baridhara area on Friday. Eager and enthusiastic viewers, alongside renowned personalities were in attendance to enjoy the event.
Hosted by Maria Nur, the event kicked off at 6:30 pm. It began with a video package of how the brand Sunsilk plays a pivotal role towards hair care and focuses on boosting confidence among women everywhere through various events.
Then, the judges of this year’s ‘Sunsilk Fashion Fiesta’, popular model-actor Nobel, model-presenter Azra Mahmud and hair expert Abida Sultana were introduced to the stage. They shared their thoughts. Nobel said, “Confidence and presentation is vital for an individual’s identity. They must feel confident about the way they present themselves.” Azra Mahmud said, “Fashion is a big part of one’s identity. The way they carry themselves becomes their identity.” Abida Sultana said, “Healthy, clean and neat hair involves a lot of work. It is most definitely important.”
Next, the 30 participants, who were carefully selected from a number of contenders in the regional rounds from Dhaka, Chittagong, Mymensingh, were introduced amidst an array of cheers and jubilation from their supporters who were present in the audience. The 10 fashion icons from Mymensingh were first introduced and they walked the ramp, followed by the 10 fashion icons from Chittagong and 10 from Dhaka. The icons shared their experiences about what they learnt and how they felt about the event. Then three fashion icons from each region were selected. From Mymensingh, the three fashion icons selected were Shabina Khondokar Smrity, Priya Akter Smrity and Tasnuva Noor. From Chittagong, the three selected were Prantika Das, Tahsin Akter Ria and Miftahul Zannat and from Dhaka, the three fashion icons selected were Anamica Akter, Fahmida Dina and Samsunnahar Sumi.  The audience were in anticipation on who the top three would be from the nine selected. In between, popular singers Imran, Topu and Kona enthralled the audience among loud cheers and appreciation with their melodious music.
Finally, the much-anticipated moment came when the judges came on to the stage to announce the top three fashion icons. The selected icons were Tasnuva Noor from Mymensingh, Tahsin Akter Ria from Chittagong and Samsunnahar Sumi from Dhaka. As confetti poured down on them, they posed for photographs among loud cheers and appreciation from the audience as the event concluded.
