The Liberation War Museum (LWM) arranged a day-long regional conference at Aswani Kumar Hall on Friday with more than 200 school teachers and students from six districts of Barisal division. The participated leaders, activists and volunteers of LWM in the programme, called the authorities concerned to preserve the sites related with liberation war, specially the mass killing grounds, in the region to enable people to reflect on the atrocities carried out there and to realise the outcome of hatred and cruelty. The programme included discussion on liberation war, exchange of views and experiences, exhibition on books and posters on liberation war, cultural functions, documentary shows etc. Among others general manager of LWM AKM Mahbubul Alam, freedom fighter and cultural activist Manabendra Batobayal, Rafikul Islam, regional organizers of LWM Ranjit Kumar and participated teachers and students addressed the programme.
