Speakers at the 4th Zakat Fair yesterday said that amounts up to Tk 25,000 crore can be distributed among the poor. The two-day fair, organised by the Centre for Zakat Management (CZM), is being held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center. The fair will remain open from 10am to 6:30pm and there is no entry free. If zakat can be collected properly, there would be no Zakat takers in the country after 15 years, they observed.
