Popular actress Konkon was seen regularly in several much notable tele-dramas on BTV. However, after her marriage and leaving for Canada, she has been away from the acting scene for a very long time. Whenever she comes back to the country, at the request of the directors, she acts in one or two tele-dramas.
However, this time around, Konkon has returned from Canada with plenty of time on her hands. That is why, her fans are in for a treat as they will get to see her during the upcoming Eid in various tele-dramas directed by the eminent directors.
DhakaLive has news that recently, Konkon completed the work for Salauddin Lavlu’s ‘Koinya’ and ‘Eid Mubarak’ under the direction of Zahid Hasan. Kongkon has played crucial roles in both the tele-dramas. Also, she informed that she will be acting in a tele-drama directed by Giasuddin Selim and one by Mahfuz Ahmed.
Konkon said, “I have not been involved in acting for a very long time. However, whenever I return to the country, the viewers still recognise me and even call me by my name. Whenever they are keen and enthusiastic and ask me intensely why I am not acting anymore, then I realize the love that they have for me. That is why, to pay respect to that love, I have decided to act in several projects this Eid.”
To note, Konkon entered the media limelight by making her acting debut when she was a student of class ten and her first tele-drama was ‘Emon Ekta Ma Dena’ written by Shahidul Haque Khan and produced by Riazuddin Badshah. Konkon received immense praise for her performance. Her notable tele-dramas are ‘Shesh Bikeler Rodh’, ‘Jibon Mohona’, ‘Din Chole Jay’, among others.
