Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina leaves Dhaka this morning for Nagoya, Japan on a four-day official visit to attend the G7 Outreach programme where she will take leadership role in four basic subjects, reports UNB.
The four areas are related to health, women empowerment, sustainable development goals and cooperation for advanced infrastructure building.
“Our Prime Minister has been requested to play lead ership role in these four basic subjects at the G7 Outreach programme to be held in Ise Shima,” Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali told reporters at a press conference at his ministry yesterday afternoon. He described Prime Minister Hasina’s participation in the G7 Outreach Programme as a reflection of world leaders’ confidence in her leadership.
The Group of 7 (G7) is a club of rich countries consisting of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the PM and her entourage will depart the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10am.
