Bangladesh fosters export products at OIC Trade Fair

Bangladesh Minister for Commerce Tofail Ahmed is visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to attend the 15th OIC Trade Fair that kicked on Sunday in Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre. It will be open until Thursday, reports a Saudi newspaper.
About 30 countries, including Bangladesh, is taking part where 36 companies from Bangladesh including 3 government agencies such as Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) under the Ministry of Commerce, BMET and BOESL are participating in the exhibition, reports Saudi Gazette from Riyad.
The Bangladeshi companies are exhibiting quality products such as processed food items, RMG, towel, home textile etc with the slogan, Made in Bangladesh-Our brand, our pride.
The Fair was inaugurated by Prince Faisal Bin Bandar where Commerce Minister from around 15 OIC member states including Bangladesh and KSA attended.
The Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed met with President Dr Abdulrahman Al Zamil and Secretary General Omar A Bahlaiwa of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC). Discussion was held to promote trade and investment between the two brotherly countries. Both the president and secretary general welcomed the Bangladesh Commerce Minister and acknowledged the excellent bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and emphasized to deepening trade, investment and economic ties as the Kingdom recently launched the Vision 2030.
Bangladesh commerce minister highlighted that right after independence of Bangladesh, the then government of Bangladesh took very pro-active policy of engagement with Islamic countries.
