‘Implementation of law could be effective means of ensuring transparency’

Speakers at a meeting underscored the need to make the government officials familiarise with the law of Right to Information (RTI).
They said implementation of law could be effective means of ensuring transparency and accountability in public service.
Speakers said the designated officials should take the responsibility of RTI Law implementation successfully at upazila-level.They made this comments while addressing a briefing meeting on RTI law at the conference room of Fulchhari Upazila Parishad this noon.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Masudur Rahman Mollah was in the chair.
District advisory committee on RTI law implementation and upazila administration jointly organized the meeting.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) M Shamsul Azam addressed the function as the chief guest. Upazila Parishad Chairman M Habibur Rahman was present as special guest.
