Woman killed in city road crash

A woman was killed as she fell from a battery-run auto-rickshaw in the city’ Mohamma-dpur area yesterday, reports UNB. The victim was identified as Sokhina Begum, 45, wife of late Babul. She had been residing in Keraniganj on the outskirts of the capital. Sources at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) said Sokhina along with her seven-year-old son Yusuf was going to visit her daughter at Mohammadpur by the battery-run-auto-rickshaw in the morning. When the vehicle reached ‘Tin Rasta Mor’ near Basila, they fell off the vehicle around 11:30 am as the driver suddenly took a turn, leaving them injured.
