Detectives arrested five people in connection with the killing of Saiham Group assistant general manager Monirul Islam from Khilgaon area in the capital on Monday night, reports UNB.
Identity of the arrestees could not be known immediately.

Metropolitan Police (DMP) Mahbub said tipped off, a team of DB police conducted a drive in the area and arrested the five at night.
Detail about the drive and arrestees will be disclosed at a press briefing later, the DC added.
Monirul Islam, 35, AGM of Saiham Group, who went missing on May 17, was found dead at Shekher Jaiga in the capital’s Khilgaon area on May 18.
Abu Zafar Hawladar, sub-inspector of Sabujbagh police station, said Monirul went by his car to a place at Dakkhingaon in Sabujbagh area after office hours around 5pm.
Later keeping his driver in wait there he went to an unknown direction.
As Monirul did not come back even after a long wait, the driver informed the matter to his (Moirul’s) wife.
On May 18, local people noticed Monirul’s body lying in the area beside the road and informed police, who later recovered it.
