The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) is set to submit on Tuesday a chargesheet before court against Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury who earlier arrested for introducing himself as a director of the commission.
The commission at its regular meeting approved the chargesheet against him, ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
He said the chargesheet will be submitted before court soon, he said. On March 29, 2016, ACC deputy director SM Rafiqul Islam filed a case against the fake ACC director with Khilkhet Police Station for allegedly plundering money from general people showing ACC’s identity.
The ACC investigator arrested him in connection with allegation. According to the case statement, Iqbal Hossain, from Ramganj of Laxmipur district, lives in Khilkhet.
The Commission has earlier got an allegation that he was enjoying financial facility from general people introducing himself as a director of the ACC (admin). During the probe, the national anti-graft body found the allegation correct.
