ACC arrests teacher, railway staff for graft

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested a teacher and a railway staff from the capital and Gazipur on Sunday in separate graft cases, reports UNB. An ACC investigator of its Dhaka Zila office head teacher of Kaliakoir High School of Gazipur Alkas Uddin Ahmed for reportedly taking job showing fake certificate, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB on Monday. Another ACC investigator of the same office detained chief booking assistant of Joydebpur Rail Station Abdus Salam for allegedly swindling out nearly Tk 50 lakh from Bangladesh Railway. Earlier, both were sued in separate graft cases filed by the national anti-graft body in 2015.
