Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday expressed deep shock at the death of 66 passengers and members of crew in the Egypt Air flight crash, reports BSS.
"On behalf of the government and the people of Bangladesh and my own behalf, I express our profound shock and deep sorrow at the loss of 66 valuable lives of passengers and members of crews in the unfortunate crash of the Egypt Air Flight MS804 on May 19, " she said in a condolence message sent to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
The premier also conveyed her deep condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the members of the bereaved families of the victims.
"We mourn the sad incident along with you and pray to the Almighty for the salvation of the departed souls and for granting fortitude to the families to bear the irreparable loss," she said.
The Egypt Air Flight MS804 crashed in the Mediterranean with 66 people on board when it was en route from Paris to Cairo.
