Stress on ensuring cyber security

RANGPUR: Sonali Bank Limited (SBL) organised a daylong training workshop on Cyber security and implementation of core banking solution (CBS) at BRAC Training centre in the city yesterday, reports BSS.
Officials of the Divisional General Managers Office of SBL, Principal and Regional Offices, Corporate Branches, Heads of different Branches, Computer In-charges and other concerned officials and employees participated in the training workshop. General Manager of SBL from its Head Office Sarder Nurul Amin attended the workshop as the chief guest with General Manager of its Rangpur Divisional General Managers Office Mahbubur Rahman in the chair.
Assistant General Managers of SBL from its Head Office Rafikul Islam and Bilal Hossain attended the training workshop as resource persons.
All regional chiefs, chiefs of all six principal offices, regional offices and corporate branches, heads of different branches and senior officials of the SBL from all eight districts in Rangpur division participated in the workshop.
The resource persons elaborately discussed on the importance of implementation of the CBS, security threats in networking and SWIFT for ensuring complete security in the banking system and resisting hacking of information by the hackers.
The chief guest narrated the importance of ensuring cyber security and implementation of the CBS in the whole banking systems with continuous development of the information and communication technologies (ICT) in the world.
