Robi pairs up with BCB for developing cricket

Cell phone operator Robi has further reinforced its relation with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) by becoming the business strategic partner of the country’s richest federation.
Robi, also the title sponsor of Bangladesh National Team struck a three-year deal in this regard and vowed to take the country’s cricket another height.
According to the contract, Robi will organise the country-wide cricket talent hunt activities and also will be with the BCB as its telecom partner. The private cell phone operator will hand a smart phone to the players and officials of the board including free talktime, special bundle offer.
The BCB explained the pros and cons of the agreement yesterday through a formal press conference at its headquarter in Mirpur. BCB vice-president Mahbubul Anam, Marketing and Commercial Committee chairman Kazi Inam Ahmed, Robi’s managing director and CEO Supun Bir Singha and Chief Corporate and People Officer Motiul Islam Nawshad were present during the signing ceremony.
“Robi will be with BCB in its every need apart from sponsoring the national team,” said Mahbub Anam. Kazi Inam Ahmed said: “Robi will help BCB in spin batting talent hunt after successfully ending the fast bowling talent hunt.”
